Leon Draisaitl opened the scoring with a power-play goal in the first period, assisted by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid. Corey Perry extended the lead in the second period with another power-play goal, becoming one of the few players aged 40 or older to score in a conference final game.  Dallas narrowed the gap to 2–1 with a goal from Roope Hintz, but the Oilers sealed the win with empty-net goals from Kasperi Kapanen and Adam Henrique in the final minutes. However, the victory was tempered by the loss of forward Zach Hyman, who left the game early due to a controversial hit by Dallas' Mason Marchment.

Game 5 is scheduled for May 29 in Dallas, where the Oilers will have the opportunity to clinch the series and advance to the Stanley Cup Final.
