Our team will discuss why or why not Rory McIlroy will complete the PGA Grand Slam.

With the Masters been postponed until November 2020, Rory McIlroy had a few words to say about this change in the PGA schedule.
"It gives us some room for maneuvering, depending on what happens over the next few weeks," McIlroy said. "A Masters in the fall, October time, I think it would be pretty cool. It would be a very different look than what you usually see at Augusta. I think it's definitely a possibility if they want to get the 2020 Masters in, I think that could definitely be a possibility. I'm sure they can make it happen if they want it to happen."
Can Rory Mcilroy complete the Grand Slam?
Luke - Yes
Rory is coming off one of his best seasons as a PGA Tour player. He had 14 top 10 finishes in 2019 as well as 3 wins (Canadian Open, Players Championship, and the Tour Championship). To top it all off, he won the Fed Ex Cup and PGA Player of the Year. Not bad!
In 2020, he has a victory in January at the HSBC World Golf Championship. Rory has been playing good golf right up until the lay-off but has struggled on a few sundays.
With this break ahead of us, this will give Rory time to work on his game and hope to see him wear the Green Jacket and complete the Grand Slam!
Jordan - No
With the unfortunate news of the 2020 Master's being postponed, golf fans are left to wonder whether or not Rory McIlroy will ever achieve the honour of winning the grand slam. On the PGA Tour, now more than ever, the level of competition has surpassed the days of the "only a few players have a chance of winning" mindset and we have come to expect most tournaments being up in the air. In my opinion, I don't believe Rory will ever win the Green Jacket largely in part to his tormented ego from past experiences at Augusta. Quoted many times saying, "I would have said a couple of years ago, ‘I need to win a Masters. I need a green jacket.’ Where now it’s, ‘I want to. I want to win it.’ And I’d love to win it. But if I don’t I’m OK. And I think that is the difference.” I can't help but read these comments and wonder if the best of all-time in their respected sports would have ever said something like this. Would Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Wayne Gretzky etc. ever accepted good as good enough? Of course not. With the mentality of being 'good not great', I don't see Rory getting over the hump and fulfilling his dream of the Grand Slam. When there are hundreds of golfer's willing to put everything on the line at each event, Rory needs to stop relying on talent alone and understand the grind of overcoming golf's toughest challenge; The Master's at Augusta, Georgia.

Personally I believe that Rory will in fact win the masters. Given the good play that Rory has had over the past year, moving to world number one it is only a matter of time before he wears the elusive green jacket. His swing is one of, if not the best on tour that gives him effortless power and consistent golf shots. He’s kept himself extremely healthy and has gone without injury these last few years that allows him to keep on top of all aspects of his game. Will the green jacket come this year? Let’s hope so but if not this year, I’d bet within the next three.
