The Dallas Stars defeated the Winnipeg Jets 3–1 in Game 4 of their second-round playoff series on May 13, 2025, taking a 3–1 series lead and moving within one win of the Western Conference Final. NHL
Mikael Granlund was the star of the night, recording his first career playoff hat trick. He opened the scoring with a power-play goal in the first period, added another in the second, and completed the hat trick with an empty-netter late in the third. Goaltender Jake Oettinger was solid in net, stopping 31 of 32 shots to secure the win for Dallas. Yardbarker
Winnipeg's lone goal came from Nikolaj Ehlers in the second period, briefly cutting the deficit to 2–1. However, the Jets' offensive struggles continued, particularly on the power play, where they have converted just once in 16 opportunities this series. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 21 saves but couldn't outduel Oettinger. Reuters
The Jets' road playoff woes also persisted, marking their ninth consecutive postseason road loss since 2023. Despite finishing the regular season atop the standings, Winnipeg now faces elimination as the series shifts back to Canada Life Centre for Game 5 on Thursday.
