Super Bowl LVI: Predictions

A match up that people didn’t expect going into Super Bowl LVI, the Bengals will be playing the Rams. A tough path for both teams, the Bengals taking down the Super Bowl favourites, the Kansas City Chiefs and the LA Rams took down Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Well, they put Tom Brady right into retirement! The Cincinnati Bengals have a young team that can start something exciting with a super bowl win. The LA Rams moved some pieces around in the off season that seemed to be clicking. Bringing in Stafford, Beckham Jr, and Miller were some of the key pieces that have made the Rams a tough team to beat. Here are some headlines and predictions to look out for.

LA in LA

This isn’t the first time you’ve seen this. It’s been "one whole year" since a team in the Super Bowl gets home field advantage. Tampa Bay had it last year against Kansas City and beat them 31-9 to give Brady his seventh ring. Having home field for a Super Bowl is great because you have the majority of fans, but it comes with a ton of pressure. It’s very difficult to get to the Super Bowl especially with all the great teams in the league but to have home field, that doesn’t come around that often.

A Defense's Game

Remember, this is the first Super Bowl for both Burrow and Stafford. There will be a few sloppy plays to start the game and will allow the defense to eat it up. Out of all the playoff games both teams have played, only one game has hit the over. If it wasn’t for Tampa Bay’s “almost comeback” then all games would have hit the under. The current over/under is set at 49.5, I would expect this game to hit the under.

Halftime Show – 90s Babies are going to LOVE it

Dr.Dre, Eminem, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg. When is the last time the NFL gave us a powerhouse of a line up for the halftime show? Well, I can tell you this, anyone that was born during and before the 90s is pretty fired up to see this show. This might be the first time saying this but, the halftime show might be just as exciting as the game. The prop betters are going nuts on the song choices because there will be a lot to choose from especially with five artists going at it. This might be the last time you see some of these artists perform as they are getting up there in age. It’s a throwback and can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.

Joey B gets it done in LA

The path Cincinnati took to get to the Super Bowl is unbelievable. Beating the #1 ranked Titans and the Super Bowl favourites Kansas City Chiefs. Joe Burrow doesn’t seem to be fazed by pressure. Stafford will be coming in with more pressure as he is playing a super bowl game in his home stadium. Joe Burrow is a good QB when it comes to playing outside the pocket. LA has an excellent defensive line so you will expect Burrow to be outside the pocket a lot. My prediction will be a slow first half, both Burrow and Stafford will be figuring out their footing. In the second half, the Bengals will take over.

Final Prediction

With a big second half for the Bengals, Ja’Marr Chase will be named MVP. He will become the first rookie to win MVP. My final score prediction is 21-17 Bengals.
